MACHINE SERVICE
When a machine is brought in for servicing, we do a total tune up and
inspection. The servicing process is as follows:
Disassemble all necessary parts.
- Inspect all parts for damage and signs of wear.
- Mechanically clean, oil and lubricate all necessary parts.
- Inspect and adjust thread handling mechanism (i.e. needle bar positions
and operations, pendulum timing, hook timing, hook/needle clearance, thread
guides and take-up lever)
- Inspect and clean upper and lower tensions and make any necessary
adjustments
- Inspect spool pin and holder and bobbin-winding device
- Inspect all electrical connections, foot control, motor and motor brushes.
If necessary replace brushes (parts extra)
- Inspect and adjust, and if necessary, replace motor belts (parts extra)
- Inspect and adjust fabric handling mechanism (i.e. presser foot height,
squareness and alignment, pressure regulating mechanism, feed regulator,
feed dog height and timing)
Machines brought in for service should have all items necessary to properly
test them (i.e. power cord, foot control, bobbin and case, and presser foot)
